Student Registration

Please follow these steps to register:

 STEP 1 1.  Complete the online registration through the link below.

 STEP 2 2.  Collect all your necessary documentation using the checklist below.
  3.  You currently have two options for providing your registration paperwork to Central Office. You can scan your documentation and email (If you are emailing  your documentation,  please maintain the originals as the school may request them if what we receive is not clear to [email protected] or call to make an appointment to bring them to Central Office at 35 Fifth Street. 203-736-5027
  4.  If you are going to email the documentation please email to [email protected] with your student's name, grade and the school they will be attending in the subject line.
  5.  However you provide the documentation, call 203-736-5027to schedule a telephone conference or in-person appointment to review the online registration.

**You will need to contact Central Office to complete your registration.**
Completing the Online Registration does not trigger a phone call from us.
You MUST call us at 203-736-5027 to complete the registration process.

If you are coming to Central Office to drop off documents,
please call to schedule a time.

You will need to wear a mask for everyone's protection.

Only one adult at a time will be allowed to enter the building for your appointment.


Registration for Little Raiders University is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Spots are limited.
You need to complete the online registration and have all necessary documentation to complete the process.
Registration will not be considered complete without all required documentation - no exceptions.
Placement is not guaranteed as the number of available openings is subject to change. 
You will be notified in July, by phone, if you received a spot and letters will be sent later in the month. 

There is a 24 to 48 hour processing period from the time all required information/documentation is received and residency is confirmed. You will be contacted by the school with information on your student's starting date.


   Documentation below is required to register your child - these requirements have been set by the Derby Public Schools Board of Education. Please use this checklist to track the documents you need to collect. A parent or legal guardian is required to register a student(s). 

 Item #1

  The child's original full-size birth certificate (not wallet size, not a photocopy) for all students born
  in the United States. Students born outside of the United States need to present a passport/visa or green card;

  The State Health Assessment form and a copy of your child's current immunization record.
  The latest physical exam must not be more than a year old. 
                   School Age Health Assessment Record   (typically a blue form)
                   Pre-K/Early Childhood Health Assessment Record (typically a yellow form)

Item #3

      Proof of Residency (**All of the below items are required**)

         * Current Lease/Rental Agreement or Mortgage statement

         * 2 Utility Bills (Phone, Electric, Gas, Water, Cable, Auto Insurance, Auto Registration, Tax Bill)

         * Parent/Guardian CT License with Derby address on the front (change of address label on the back is                           acceptable.)

         * If you rent or lease your home/apartment: you must also provide a notarized the 
           Landlord/Property Owner Certification of Residency

Please Note: This form must be completed by the owner of the rental. We do
call the landlord to
                verify the certification. We cannot proceed with registration until this is complete and all documentation is                    received and verified.

  Students entering high school should provide their most recent report card or transcripts to facilitate creation of their   schedule. Without this information, the student's start date may be delayed until we receive this information from their   previous school.

All students must have the appropriate vaccinations to enter school.

Students will not be allowed to enter a Derby Public School facility without the appropriate health records.
Even if your student will participate in Virtual/Distance Learning,
we must have a valid Health Assessment Record on file.
