School Registration
Parents and guardians need to register students new to the school system. Completed registration packets must be brought to the appropriate school. Students entering K-6 and residing on the west side of the Naugatuck River in Derby would register at Irving School, 9 Garden Place. Students entering K-6 and residing on the east side of the Naugatuck River in Derby would register at Bradley School, 155 David Humphreys Road. Students entering grades 7-8 would register at the Derby Middle School, 8 Nutmeg Avenue and grades 9-12 would register at the Derby High School, 8 Nutmeg Avenue.
Student Registration Forms can be downloaded here or picked up at any of the schools. Parents must provide a birth certificate, social security number, proof of residency and current immunization records when registering their child.
Both elementary schools also have Kindergarten Registration in mid January and mid March. Please check our District Calendar for exact dates and times.
