Irving School, located on Garden Place is one of two K-5 elementary schools in the Derby School District. The school was built in 1953 and underwent additions and major renovations in 1995. Irving school consists of 22 classrooms, an art room, music room, a library/media/computer lab, cafeteria, gymnasium, and children's playground.
Welcome to Irving School
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your children to Irving School. Our faculty consists of seventy full and part time personnel who will try their very best to provide your children with an education that will allow them to be ready for the demands of the 21st Century.
Our School also has many programs available including chorus and band, student council, the after school Raiders Club, and lunchtime girl scouts for grades 1 to 5. For this coming school year we will also have a full time counselor to assist children in need, and also provide programs on appropriate peer interaction and bullying.
