Farewell from Mrs. Coppola
Dear Parents and Staff,
As I leave Bradley School after 36 years in public education, I reflect upon the hundreds of students and parents with whom I have come into contact with during that time. It has been a privilege for me to work with you and your children for so many years.
My journey began in 1973 here at Bradley School for nine years, then continued at Irving School for twenty one years, and is ending here at Bradley after six years as your principal. I value the friendships I have made throughout all of the years and I thank my staff for their support in providing the best education for our children.
Thanks for your kindnesses extended to me upon my retirement. I appreciate all you have done for me throughout my career. My journey will continue at St. Mary – St. Michael School. So rather than saying good-bye, I’ll just say, until we meet again…..

Bradley School, located on David Humphrey's Road is one of two K-5 elementary schools in the Derby School District. The school was built in 1960 and underwent additions and major renovations in 1995. Bradley School consists of 22 classrooms, a library/media/computer lab, cafeteria, gymnasium, and an outdoor sports complex and children's playground.

We have high expectations for all of our students. Failure is not an option at Bradley School. Regular attendance is expected, homework is required, and students are expected to behave appropriately.
The Bradley School slogan is P.R.I.D.E. "P" stands for being PREPARED to learn each day. That means coming to school well-rested, well-fed, on time and with the appropriate materials needed for the day, such as homework, sneakers for gym, band instruments, etc. "R" stands for RESPECT for ourselves, each other, our teachers, our parents and school property. "I" represents INTEGRITY, honesty at all times. "D" designates discipline, and appropriate behavior is expected at all times. Finally, "E" stands for EXCELLENCE". We have high expectations for all students and teachers.
